Enable Compete Payments and connect your Stripe account
Here’s how:
From your Dashboard, click Settings → Payment Settings
Tap Compete Payments Service
Turn on Enable Compete Payments Service, then click Save.
Select Setup Compete Payments to connect through Stripe.
Click Connect with Stripe to open Stripe’s secure onboarding page.
Enter your email address (if you already have a stripe account with that email you will be prompted to login. if you do not, you will create a new account).
Verify your email and provide your business details:
Business name (must match legal/tax documents)
Business type (Company, Nonprofit, or Individual)
Tax ID (EIN for organizations, SSN for individuals)
Enter a contact person’s name, date of birth, and address for verification.
Add your bank account information (manual entry or instant verification).
Review and submit your details. Stripe will confirm your account and return you to Fastbreak.
In your payment settings, you’ll see a status box showing your connection:
Yellow → Setup is still in progress or requires more information.
Green → Your Stripe account is fully connected and ready to use.

Payment Order
Use Payment Order to control how payment options appear to customers at checkout and to set your default method.
Here’s how:
Go to Payments → Settings.
Open Payment Order.
Select your preferred order (for example, Credit Card → Pay Later → Check).
Click Save.
Fees and Non-Card Payment Methods
In this section, you can adjust how fees are handled and enable other payment types such as checks or Pay Later.
To manage fees:
Go to Payments → Settings.
Choose who covers processing and handling fees:
Customer pays fees (recommended to maximize event revenue)
Organization covers fees (if you prefer to absorb costs)
(Optional) Enable taxes, ticket handling fees, or event handling fees.
Click Save.
To allow additional payment types:
Under Payment Methods, enable:
Checks – teams can pay manually.
Pay Later – allows teams to register first and pay later.
Click Save.
ℹ️ Teams using Pay Later will appear as registered but not marked as paid until payment is confirmed. Team using Checks as their payment method will also not be marked as paid until the payment is confirmed.
