Fastbreak makes it easy to organize teams into the right divisions before you build your schedule. With one click, you can place every team into the correct grade group and adjust divisions as needed—saving you time and making the next steps much smoother.
Generate Divisions
Fastbreak can automatically sort all teams into divisions based on their grade level. This saves you a lot of time—you don’t have to manually sort teams. You will still have the ability to make any adjustment you'd like.
Here’s how:
Go to Scheduling and open your event.
Click Teams in the left menu.
Look at the Backlog on the right side.
Click the Move all teams from backlog button.
This icon looks like a bookmark with an arrow pointing right.
Fastbreak will place all teams into divisions grouped by the grade level they registered for.
Create or Adjust Divisions
After divisions are generated, you can make changes before creating matchups.
Here’s how:
Move Teams Between Divisions
Make sure matchups have not been created yet.
Drag and drop teams into new divisions if you need to rebalance or update placements.
Create a New Division
Click + Division at the top of the divisions list.
A new division window will open
Enter in the Grade, Gender, and Division Name.
Tap Save.
Clone an Existing Division
Click the Clone Division icon (two overlapping squares).
Rename the new division (examples: 6th Boys A → 6th Boys B).
The cloned division will appear next to the original.
💡 Tip: Cloning is the quickest way to split a grade into different competitive levels.
Create Pools Within a Division
Pools let you organize teams inside a division (for example: Pool A, Pool B, or custom regional groups). This is helpful for pool play, seeding, or splitting large divisions into matchup groups.
Here’s how:
Go to the division you want to organize.
Click the Pool icon next to the division name. Fastbreak will automatically create Pool A and Pool B.
Drag and drop teams into the pools you want them in. You can move as many teams as needed between Pool A and Pool B.
If you want to rename the pools, click the Edit icon (pencil).
Turn on Use Pool Custom Name, then update each pool name.
Example: rename Pool A → North, Pool B → South.
When finished, click Save.
Your pools are now ready and will carry through to matchups, standings, and brackets.
