Create Your Bracket

Here’s how:

  1. Go to Scheduling and find your event in the list.

  2. Go to the Matchups tab.

  3. Select the division you want to build a bracket for.

  4. Click Use Bracket, then click Manage Brackets.

  5. Click Choose Template and select a bracket size (this will generally be the number of teams in the bracket).

  6. Tap + to select a template from a variety of options. An important factor is how many guaranteed games the tournament offers teams. That can help will choosing a template. Enter how many games each team is guaranteed.

  7. Click Save to create your bracket

  8. Click Save again when your happy with the games/matchups.

💡 Bracket templates give you a ready-made structure so you don’t need to build brackets by hand. Templates match the most common formats operators use, such as:

  • 3–5 team brackets

  • Standard 6, 7, or 8-team playoff brackets

  • Templates that include consolation or loser bracket games

These layouts help you quickly create a clean, balanced bracket that fits your division. Start with a template that matches your division size so your bracket lays out neatly without extra adjustments.

ℹ️ Not seeing the Matchups tab? You won’t see the Matchups tab if the division doesn’t have any teams yet. The Matchups page only appears once teams are added to the division.

If you haven’t added teams yet, follow the steps in the Teams - Backlog and Divisions articles to set them up first.

Customize Your Bracket

Customizing your bracket lets you keep full control so you can place teams exactly where you want them.

Here’s how:

  1. Click Edit Mode.

  2. Click any game to update the matchup or choose options like updating a bracket to use Division place rather than a loser bracket.

  3. Click any teams to adjust to move them into new positions.

  4. Click Save when you're done.

💡 Example Cases for Customizing Your Bracket

• Adjusting seeds after pool play
If pool games determine who finishes 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, you can drag teams into the correct bracket spots based on their final standings.

• Avoiding early rematches
If two teams already played each other in pool play, you may want to place them on opposite sides of the bracket so they only meet later in the playoffs.

• Fixing matchup fairness
If two strong teams are seeded too low or too high by default, you can move them to create a more balanced bracket.

• Setting up consolation or loser-bracket games
Some templates include loser-bracket paths. You can click these games and assign matchups to make sure every team gets its guaranteed number of games.

• Handling late schedule changes
If a team drops or is moved to another division, you can use Edit Mode to quickly reseed teams or delete individual bracket games without rebuilding the entire bracket.

• Customizing for league or circuit rules
If your organization has its own playoff rules (like “top 4 advance,” or “highest seed always plays lowest seed”), Edit Mode lets you place teams exactly where your format requires.

Reset Your Bracket

Resetting your bracket gives you a clean slate so you can rebuild it from scratch whenever plans change.

Here’s how:

  1. Open Matchups.

  2. Scroll down, and click Reset Bracket. This reset the games to the default before any changes.

  3. If you'd like to choose a new template tap Manage Bracket and proceed.

  4. Click Save when you're done.

⚠️ Resetting reset all bracket games to the default, so be sure you want to start over before clearing your setup.

ℹ️ If your division uses pool play or standings, you can advance teams into the bracket by clicking Advance to Brackets, choosing which teams fill each seed, and saving your placements. This step is ONLY needed when teams qualify based on results.
