Discount codes are commonly used for promotions, partnerships, or seasonal campaigns. Customers enter the code during checkout to receive the discount.

Here's how:

  1. From the top navigation, click Sales.

  2. Select Discount Codes.

  3. Click Create Code.

  4. Configure the discount code:

    • Discount Code Name
Enter a name for the discount. This is used internally so you can identify the promotion (for example: Spring Promo or Partner Discount).

    • Discount Code
Enter the code customers will type during checkout to receive the discount (for example: SPRING15).

    • Discount Type
Choose how the discount will be applied:

      • Percentage Off: Gives customers a percentage discount (for example: 15% off).

      • Fixed Amount Off: Gives a flat dollar discount (for example: $25 off registration).

  5. Click Create Discount Code to save the promotion.

Optional Settings

These settings give you more control over how and when the discount can be used.

  • Allow Stacking With Other Discounts: Enable this if you want the code to work alongside other discounts, such as:

    • User category discounts

    • Item count discounts

If this option is disabled, the discount code will not combine with other discounts.

  • Start Date & Time: Choose when the discount code becomes available. Leave blank if it should be available immediately.

  • End Date & Time: Set an expiration date for the code. Leave blank if the code should not expire.

  • Minimum Event Price: Set the minimum event price required for the code to work. This prevents the discount from being used on lower-priced events.

  • Usage Limits: Control how often the code can be used:

    • Unlimited Uses: Anyone can use the code with no limit.

    • Maximum Uses: Limit the total number of times the code can be used.

    • Per User Limit: Limit how many times each individual customer can use the code.

  • Event Availability: Choose where the code can be used:

    • All Events: The code works for every event you run.

    • Specific Events: Select individual events where the code will apply

Edit or Expire a Discount Code

You can update or disable codes at any time.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Sales β†’ Discount Codes.

  2. Click the code you want to manage.

  3. Select Edit to update the settings. When done tap Save Changes.

  4. If needed, select Expire Code to deactivate it. Once expired, the code will no longer be accepted at checkout.
