FastBreak makes on-site sales fast with Tap to Pay inside the Snap Entry app.

What you’ll need:

  • iPhone 11 or newer (or recent Android).

  • Latest version of the Snap Entry app.

  • Reliable internet (cellular usually works better than Wi-Fi).

  • Ensure that your Stripe Locations for Tap to Pay is enabled from the Snap Entry tab of the admin app.

Here's How:

  1. Open Snap Entry and enter your event access code.

  2. Go to Sell Mode

    👉 Two options:

    • Sell Mode → Sells a ticket only. The guest must still be scanned in.

    • Sell & Check-In Mode → Sells the ticket and checks them in at the same time (best for gate sales).

  3. Select the ticket type(s).

  4. Enter the buyer’s phone number (so their ticket is texted).

  5. Ask the buyer to tap their card, phone wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, Cash App), or a compatible payment method on the back of your phone.

🛠️ Resolving Tap to Pay Issues

📶 Connection & Network Issues

  • Symptom: Payment won’t process or spins endlessly

  • Steps:

    • Switch from Wi-Fi to cellular (cellular is usually more reliable).

    • Move closer to a window or outdoor area for better signal.

    • If possible, hotspot from another device to test connection.

📱 Device or App Issues

  • Symptom: Tap to Pay option doesn’t appear

  • Steps:

    • Make sure you’re using an iPhone 11 or newer (or compatible Android).

    • Update to the latest version of Snap Entry in the App Store/Google Play.

    • Restart your phone and reopen Snap Entry.

💳 Payment Method Not Working

  • Symptom: Card won’t tap or transaction fails

  • Fix:

    • Check if the card is contactless (look for the “wave” icon).

    • Try a different card or a mobile wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, Cash App).

    • If still failing, direct the buyer to purchase online via the web page (or process as a cash/manual order)
